Join us for the tastiest weekend of the year at the second annual VIVA New Mexico Chile Festival on September 6 - 8! The fun, three-day event will be jam packed with family pleasing activities, delicious eats, and live music all taking place on Wagner’s beautiful chile farm in sunny Los Lunas.
With the heavenly aroma of chile roasting in the air, enjoy agricultural entertainment like a corn maze,u-pick gardens, a petting zoo, pony rides, and hayride tours out to the production fields. Browse through the beautiful creations of many talented artisans, take in fascinating agricultural exhibits, meet Dave DeWitt at a personal book signing and listen to famous author, BG Burr tell the history of Los Lunas and its role in statehood.
While the little ones jump around in bounce houses, relax, have a beer and jam to music from the best live bands Sign up for the salsa and chile cook-off for the chance to win a beautiful wood carved chile trophy.
Chile will be at its freshest best as Wagner Farms will be supplying the goods, so be prepared to leave stocked up. Farming in middle Rio Grande Valley for well over a century, the Wagner's have gained a reputation for growing world-class chile. Whether you like red or green, you will find many varieties to choose from, all freshly picked and ready to roast. Just follow the wonderful smell and and listen for the crackling and popping and start shopping.
